Today on #MammothMonday I’m going to tell you about three ways in which you can stretch that reach and grow your business or your brand. Make everything you do big. Do not limit yourself to your small circle. On this day, go as big as you can. You have to figure out how to reach out to new clientele or a new customer base. There are several ways of growing your business but one of the easiest is to go virtual like having a great website. Another approach can be using advertising avenues. The third idea is to use social media platforms.
Nowadays, it doesn’t take thousands of dollars to get a website up and running. Almost all platforms have a “plug and play” setup where they have literally built hundreds of templates and all you do is pick whichever one you like best then insert your own copy where prompted. Any novice can build a website especially if you’re just starting out and money is tight. There are even companies like Wix.com that will host your site for free as long as they can advertise their banner at the bottom and I’m telling you from experience that it is no big deal and Wix integrates their banner beautifully. You can always pay at a later time not have it there but that’s for when you are established and well on your way. However, until then, free is best. Once your website is up and running, your business is literally available to the world and it’s at this time and moving forward that you will start to direct everyone toward your site.
The second way to expand your reach is through advertising. Plain and simple advertising like finding local papers that allow for free advertising if your copy is short. A perfect short copy would be something like “Trending Hot Toys available at————-“ The dashes representing your website address. You can also make beautiful flyers and print them using your own home computer and printer then take them around to local companies. Reach out to people and companies wherever you go. Always keep a stockpile of flyers in your car or briefcase. Be ready at all times. Always remember you don’t need everyone to say yes so just keep reaching.
Finally, the third way and in my opinion the greatest way of getting people to see you and your business is through social media. Get yourself a Facebook, instagram, Twitter, YouTube and any other social media account and start engaging with people. Always ask people to share your post and be consistent with the time you allocate to this type of engagement. If you are one of those people intimidated with social media then ask a teenager to help you. They are pros at social media and they would welcome some pocket money to do for you what they spend their entire day doing anyway.
So use this day of the week to extend your reach as far as you can and gain new eyes on your business.
If you have time, you can visit your local library and read some material about marketing your business. If instead you would rather watch some videos about marketing your business, go see what you can find on YouTube. If you want a quick start because you’re not sure where to begin your journey, visit Amazon for this suggested inexpensive reading. The title of the book is 500 Social Media Marketing Tips.
