5 Badass reasons blocking you from your 7 figure lifestyle

Welcome to #WisdomWednesday. As humans, we throw so many roadblocks in our paths that we inevitably give up on our dreams and aspirations.  The reason we lose our way and never reach our desired level in life is that we get exhausted with fighting with everything in our path.  Well, here is the plain and simple truth, the only thing that is really in your path is you or should I say that which inundates your every thought.  Here are five top road blocks and how to conquer them.

1st:  Stop telling yourself and stop trying to convince yourself that what you want is just a dream.  If you have a dream that is always fresh in your mind, you can make it a reality.  You have to really want it in order to call it to existence.  It has to be something that you think about often.  Start breaking down the steps that it would take for you to achieve that dream.  Turn those steps into goals so that you can make them a reality. (Read my previous blog for goal strategies)

2nd:  Stop telling yourself that you are too old to start something new.  It is a known fact that over the past decade, the greater percentage of new businesses have been started by people over the age of fifty-five.  That's right.  Why do you care how old you are?  If you are in decent health and are working anyway, why not start something that you love doing and enjoy the rest of your life living a relaxed and fulfilled life working for yourself. Stop working like a dog building someone else's dreams?  Just stop mentally tormenting yourself and do what you want to do in order to live the life you deserve to live.  Stop listening to the noise and negativity around you.  Most people will piss on your ideas because they have nothing better going on in their lives.  Why do you allow that to fill your head?  Keep asking yourself that question. Unless all the noise around you is paying your monthly bills and living expenses, why on earth would you continue to allow that noise to dictate how you proceed in life?  Clear your head and go for it. You’re worth it

3rd:  Be passionate about what it is you desire.  Don't choose something because you think your spouse or friends or even your family will like it because I am telling you now, you will fail.  The only way anyone achieves their ultimate desires is because they are passionate about what they want.  There is no quick fix and there is no get rich quick.  If you are passionate about what you want and what you are doing, I am here to tell you that your road to your ultimate desire will be paved with relaxation, affirmations and progression.  Of course there will be hard work but when you do what you are passionate about, life is different.  The fact is, that it is so daunting and emotionally exhausting to work 8 hours a day at a job that you hate than to work 16 hours a day at something you love, especially if that thing you are doing is building your own lifestyle and not someone else's.

4th:  Stop with the pre-conceived notions that rattle your brain.  Stop assuming that the things you heard or the things you imagined are facts.  When you wake up every morning, that is your first sign that the day is yours.  Do you!  Get your goal sheet out and your strategic plans and start checking off more "To-Do's" from your list.  Every pre-conceived notion that has plagued your thought processes will disappear as you tackle that list.  Pre-conceived notions are just negative thoughts implanted into your brain by listening to others rather than finding out for yourself.  Do what you need to do and your brain will start filing those pre-conceived notions into files like, that was a total lie or that wasn't as bad as I thought or gee, I didn't mind that at all, etc etc.  A huge pre-conceived notion is that you can never have a 7 Figure Lifestyle because you don't have anymore time in your day or you have 6 kids, three dogs, a cat and a frog that occupy every minute.  Wake up with your "To-Do" list and you will guarantee your road to a 7 Figure Lifestyle will be paved with amazement.

5th:  Stop thinking that failing is a bad thing.  Stop quitting because you failed a couple of times.  Success is not now nor has it ever been a learning tool.  You put the key in your car, it started and off you went, success.  Really?  What did you learn from that?  What happens when you get stuck at 2:00am after leaving a party and the car just conked out?  You're a successful driver right?  You turned the car on and drove so you now know everything about the car right?  You should be able to fix it right? Wrong!  Sure, through success you learn little lessons to guide you but the fact is, through failure is how you learn huge lessons.  How will you ever learn how to do something if it's handed to you?  You need to "fail" over and over again to perfect that which you seek.  That is how you learn.  I'm not talking about hitting rock bottom and loosing everything, (although that does happen to people), I'm talking about trying, getting it wrong then taking the next step to redo and refine.  That is learning. Stop being afraid of failing. Change your thought processes and tell yourself that fear is not about being scared, tell yourself that F*E*A*R means Face Everything And Rise.  Rise above your own thoughts and change how you view that which you face.  It's waiting for you and all you have to do is reach out and grab it.

Do yourself a favor and visit your local library and read this book to get a head start plowing through your blockages. The book is called The Fire Starter Sessions: A Soulful + Practical Guide to Creating Success on Your Own Terms.
